Social & Senior Services
This year ACLAMO programs reached an estimated 4,000 plus mostly low-income residents. This included about 1,000 children, families and elderly receiving direct case management and other assistance at our Norristown and Pottstown centers, and other community locations.
Services included resettlement assistance, case management, health access, ESL/adult education, job readiness counseling and job placement, and housing counseling, as well as after-school tutoring and Summer Bridge learning programs for students in grades 1-5.
Our program for seniors encourages independent living through assistance with everyday needs and services. Our staff help seniors in a variety of ways, including assistance in registering for programs such as Social Security and Medicare, food, and nutritional support, accompaniment to doctors appointments, translation and interpretation services, and recreational activities.
To fulfill its mission, ACLAMO works closely with many local partners, including health and human service providers, school districts and others. Through community partnerships and collaborations ACLAMO has helped bridge gaps in language and culture to link those in need to essential health, education, employment, housing and social service resources..
