Tres Reyes Magos Fiesta
This January, as with previous years, ACLAMO held its 26th Annual Tres Reyes Magos Fiesta at the Pottstown Fire House.
This feast celebrates the presentation of gold, frankincense and myrrh to the newborn Christ child by the Three Wise Men. In Latin America, the tradition is for families to give gifts to children on this day. The cold weather didn’t discourage the over 300 people from attending. The delicious ethnic food was provided by Carmen and Bienvenido Tellado. The Caribe Music Group of Reading with Justino Ramon gave us lively popular and traditional Latino/Caribbean Christmas music while our Board Treasurer, Socorro Sadeghipour, led her Dance Group of Acapulco with traditional Mexican Ballet Folklorico. No Tres Reyes party would be complete without the children, all of whom received gifts, thanks to our local partnership with the Toys for Tots campaign. A wonderful time was had by all!
